At the counter

What This Business Needs at the Counter.

Throughput is the business model.

The lunch line

The register is the bottleneck at noon. Self-order kiosks take the overflow.

One queue for every channel

Counter, kiosk, web and delivery apps should land on one kitchen screen in order.

No re-keying delivery apps

Typing DoorDash and Uber Eats orders into the POS wastes time and causes mistakes.

Stop selling what's gone

Selling a sold-out item and refunding it is worse than not selling it.

The right bag, the right car

In a drive-thru every ticket has to match the car at the window.

Bring them back

Fast casual runs on frequency, and loyalty belongs in the checkout.
The system we'd put in

Square for Restaurants, Built for Throughput.

Every quick service item on our list checked out on Square's own pages, with published pricing. A chain with a complex central menu is where NCR Aloha fits.

Self-order kiosk

A customizable Square Kiosk lets customers submit their own orders in store.

Delivery apps in one tab

Auto 86

Auto 86 and item counts prevent overselling.

Order-ready texts

Send automatic order-ready texts when the order is done.

Combos and value meals

Handle combos, value meals and secret menus at the register.
